A voyage of the heart and soul is ahead. This journey may be spiritual or physical in nature; in either case, it is a kind of sacred pilgrimage. Have courage. A great ship can stay safe in the harbor, but that is not what great ships are made for. Be willing to unfurl your sails and set forth to the open seas. The seas might be rough and the wind is strong, but you are safe and protected. The circle of stones takes you exactly where you need to go.

A sacred journey is ahead. Deeper meaning is waiting to be discovered. You are safe.

2 ~ Spirit Guardian of Winter

5 ~ Dragonfly Spirit

This card is letting you know that it’s all right to change directions. It’s ok to change your mind. You do not need to be consistent at every turn. This is the time to put the traditions and expectations of others aside. Instead, you are called to create your own traditions! You are free to express yourself and let your spirit fly.

Dragonflies are acrobats of the sky. Not only can they fly backward, they fly upside down and turn 360 degrees… and while looking graceful as they do so. Dragonfly Spirit urges you to take on her same fearless daring. Go beyond predictable behavior. Just because something has always been done a certain way doesn’t mean that it needs to continue to be done that way. Something that you might have thought would never change is changing into something amazing. It’s not an ending- rather, it is a bright, shiny, new beginning. Situations that seemed lackluster are transmuting into fabulous opportunities. Release expectations and limited thinking, for things are not they seem.

A big change is at hand in your life. What feels like an ending is really a beginning. Rising out of the flames and ashes, you are entering a new cycle. Even if life seems murky in areas, this is only the clearing before a rebirth. Hang in there. The best is yet to come!

7 ~ Mountain ~ Strength

It makes no sense to deny the strength you have at the cost of allowing yourself to be reactive and subject to external influences far beyond what is healthy for you. Imagine yourself as a mountain of strength, solidly grounded in the Earth, your head held high as if you were touching the sky. Do so without straining, just as the mountain itself does not strain.

The current situation calls for you to be vigilant, but not to the point of fear or paranoia. Be that rock of strength that you are capable of becoming. The solidness of our resolve will be clearly communicated when you model yourself after the towering immensity of a mountain, impenetrable and inscrutable. Standing steady like a rock is what is called for at this time.

8 ~ Fire ~ Passion ~

What are your passions? What turns you on? What ignited that inner flame, that creative spark? When you feel devoid of passion, consider what is missing in your life. It is most likely, an absence of “fire in your belly,” something that makes your heart beat faster and quickens your breathing. Passion is not something that comes from outside of you, although some events and circumstances can trigger it. It is an intensity of feeling, whether quietly experienced or enthusiastically expressed. Passion can simply be a strong feeling, or the sensation itself can be so powerful that it motivates you to act. This is too often associated exclusively with sexuality, which is certainly one way of experiencing it, yet it limits its meaning and demeans the broader possibilities. Open yourself to the truth of what you are passionate about, and find a means to express it.

9 ~ Iceberg ~ Submerged ~

Whatever you suppress or deny and attempt to keep out of conscious awareness will show up somewhere and somehow. These are your shadow aspects. At one time, you put them out of your consciousness for good reason, yet they remain contained by shame and guilt. Sometimes these submerged aspects of yourself are projected onto others so that they mirror those denied or suppressed parts of you, and you may even harshly judge these characteristics when they are exhibited. Now is the time to allow these elements to surface and embrace them. These may make up some form of self-expression , a secret dream you wish to accomplish, or even uglier aspects that are difficult to acknowledge or accept. Whatever you have submerged deep inside of you, this is your opportunity to pay attention to those things and welcome them to the family called “you.”

10 ~ Spring Equinox ~ Rebirth

You thought this passage you have been through would never end. Just as certain that the light of the world fades every few months, it makes its return, and the Earth rejoices. The fresh breath of spring sweeps away cobwebs acquired from the absence of light. The light is now obviously increasing as Nature begins to emerge in all her many forms, shapes, and colors that remind us of the continual cycles of Earth Mother. This cycle of rebirth you are experiencing follows a considerably challenging time. Any tears you may have shed have cleared the way for what has been gestating, which is now ripe and ready to emerge. That which no longer serves you needs to be out to rest so that a freshness and newness of spirit can make itself known to you. Sometimes birth can be painful, particularly in that passage just before delivery, yet what emerges can be fresh and beautiful. Be with the emergence of this next cycle with faith and grace.

11 ~ Clouds ~ Shapeshifting

In both subtle and more dramatic ways, you can shapeshift by your choice of clothing, hairstyle, adornments, and even mannerisms (such as facial expression, gestures, and the way you walk). By adjusting these along with your internal attitude, you can actually display different personas. When you experiment with these variations of self-expression that are not how you ordinarily present yourself, others will react to you, depending on the degree in which your persona contrasts with the one they are most familiar with. Be like the clouds as you try out different forms, stretching your limits at times, willing to move and adjust as necessary. Lift your head up, square your shoulders, and stand tall such that your head and heart open to the world, and note how this feels. You may feel vulnerable at first, but stay with it. Then let your shoulders fall forward slightly, pull your chest inward an inch or two, and let your head drop a little; observe how this feels. Experiment with contracting your aura (your energy field), then expand it as far as you comfortably can. By this kind of shapeshifting you can consciously choose your expression into the world. Just remember who you are at the core.

12 ~ Empty Well

The Empty Well reveals that there is nothing for you here. The well is dry, and the desert is encroaching on your once-fertile garden. It is time to face this harsh reality and move on. Give gratitude and thanks for the abundance you have experienced, and let Spirit guide you to your next destination. This might mean saying goodbye to someone or something or insisting on changing the rules of the game.

Stop diminishing yourself for the sake of another. Making yourself small will not produce the results you want. There is lack of reciprocity, of give and take. The Empty Well tells you that it is time to reclaim what is yours and return what does not belong to you. The shadows cast in your direction are not of your making. You do not need to react or respond to them, as they are not real. Simply shine your light upon them and see how it dispels them.

These shadows are projections that you are confusing for reality. You may have been offered a shovel to help you dig yourself out of an uncomfortable situation, a bucket to drink from the well. But you can not dig yourself out of this hole, and remember that there is no water to be found in that well.

Receive the Empty Well as a gift. Do not exert your energy and waste your resources by repairing the walls or mending the rope. Follow the watercourse way- the aquifers that run deep in the Earth- and you will be led to a new spring oasis. You can find these underground streams, these rich natural resources, in the subterranean depth of your own heart.

13 ~ Benefactor

When the benefactor weaves her energy into your life, you’re put on notice that all manner of positive reinforcement is coming your way. The Universe wants to let you know that just as you have been generous with others, serving with your gifts even in the smallest capacity, so will you be rewarded in myriad ways.

The most beautiful gift the Benefactor gives you is recognition is that you are stewarding and sharing abundance on behalf of a higher source, one that is always working through you. The motives for her generosity to you, as well as yours to others, are intangible, although you will see the results reflected in the material world. The Benefactor reminds you that it’s in the purity of your desire to share without the need for reciprocity that, paradoxically, your initial generosity is reciprocated tenfold, seemingly without any connection to the original act. Dream sharing and caring into being, and you will be amazed to see this vibrant seed take root and spread. Do it “just because” and the Benefactor will give you her blessing.

14 ~ Many Masks

We live in a world where everyone we see wears a mask. We wear these masks to cover up and protect who we really are. We learn to do so because we’ve been conditioned to try to appear a certain way to fit into society. Masks allow us to belong, so we remain within the confines of what is expected.

Masks are not inherently bad. Rather, they provide context and structure for our personalities’ and souls’ expression. Some of us might believe that a particular mask, fixed and harden onto us, is our permanent face. We forget that we are living beings, with a multitude of faces, enabling us to experience a fuller, more vibrant world.

Your authentic essence doesn’t want to be constrained by others’ expectations anymore. Now is the time to strip away the mask you’ve accepted and discover who you really are. A new self is emerging, and your perception changes as you adopt new ways of being.

Right now it’s really important to allow yourself to experiment, to experience the world in all its myriad potentials and possibilities. Try on different masks, and let yourself be fluid and curious. How will you know what you love and what you resonate with if you don’t take off the mask you’ve always worn and test drive some new ones? Your authentic essence will never change; it will only express itself differently through these optional selves. Through trial and error, you discover more and more about who you want to become. What would it feel like to explore this side of you? Anything is possible if you’re willing to open up to your potential. You truly can move beyond the barriers that society has set. Use your imagination and step into the magic.

15 ~ Heart Home

When you begin to feel like you do not belong anywhere, it’s time to make your way back to Heart Home. This is your true home. You are being called back to the quiet place where your soul resides.

Put everything on hold for a short while- you are being offered the experience of love in its purest form, unconditional and unbounded. This is not the love you must work hard to earn or barter for. Drop into your heart space and rest there for a breath or two. Replace the judgment of yourself and others with compassion. Really, it is that easy when Heart Home shows up.

There is no need to forgive anyone for anything; none of it occurred, in spiritual truth. I I this only your belief in that story that makes it so powerful. Allow your love to wash clean all those impressions. Empty yourself of all judgment and preconceptions, and allow Spirit to fill you with the sweet nectar of peace.

When Heart Home shows up, it is imperative that you heed its call, lest the Universe orchestrate a way to bring you back to yourself that is of a harsher nature.
