When we hold them responsible for all that is wrong with us today, they haunt us. Honor the spirits of the ancestors and receive the lessons and gifts. That includes honoring your own past lives.

The ancestors have a message of healing and a powerful medicine to offer you. Create a sacred moment at your altar, light a candle to them, and let their wisdom infuse you. St this stage in your life, you are done repeating their tragic stories. The giveaway comes to ask you to feel the same gratitude without needing anything or anyone to inspire it, and to share this gratitude with those you meet. The Council are the luminous beings who hold the collective wisdom of humanity. Know that their wisdom is available to you at all times when you live in a state of yes, in an unconditional relationship with life. They remind you of your place around a sacred fire, which has been reserved for you since the beginning of time. You will claim it when you own your inner wisdom.

You are never alone. The Council and their guidance is always with you. Turn a deaf ear to that nagging voice from your ego that tells you that you are not up for the task before you. Meditate and invite your guides in. It’s time to really connect with your Council and listen to the spiritual wisdom they have to offer. They are always sending you signs and messages and are with you as you embark on this new journey.

6~ Standstill

When Standstill appears, it is a symbol of pausing, the act of observation, and breathing space. It represents the temporary nonaction as well as what happens when one is stuck.

When things seem to stall or when you feel stuck, this symbol appears as a reminder that constant action isn’t going to get you where you want to go. Perhaps it’s time to gather more information or just wait until the Universe makes the next move. No matter what, this moment is a beautiful gift orchestrated in your favor. Enjoy it. Let the Universe bring all the parts together for the highest good. Go and play, recharge, and take focus off whatever has stalled. Life will get busier again for you sooner than you think.

Time to get out of “analysis paralysis.” Standstill invites you to turn within, breathe and recognize this is the condition of the moment; it allows you the opportunity to bear witness to whatever is going on before movement resumes. This is also an opportunity to abort a project, to exit before damage.! And it may also be a time to relieve you of an unnecessary burden you took on without considering the cost. Which one it is depends on your stopping, taking a deep breath, quieting your mind, and removing all your distractions. Then you can make your next move in a grounded, relaxed, detached way. When something doesn’t go the way you think it should, remember the following; what is yours cannot be taken away.

7 ~ Sweat Lodge

Cleanse yourself: body, mind, and soul. Purify l. Clutter-clear. Let go of objects and relationships that no longer serve you. Go within. Meditate. Talk to the Creator. Give thanks.

Sweat lodges are small dome structures covers with skins, blankets, or mud in which very hot stones are placed in the center. Water is poured over the stones so that hit steams arises from the rocks. Thus, the sweat lodge, with its hot steam, is used for purification ceremonies as well as a place to commune with the Divine. This card chose you to tell you that it’s time to clear out the clutter in your life. Sometimes clutter can be things in your closet that you don’t love or use. But sometimes clutter can be outmoded relationships or habits that no longer serve you. The clearer your inner and outer space becomes, the easier it will be to hear the sweet messages from your soul.

Sometimes this card chooses you when it’s time to do some physical detoxification. Fast for a day. Drink green juices. Clear out some clutter: Love it, use it, or get rid of it. Even one small item can make a difference.

8 ~ Tribal Spirit Dancer

Let’s go! Say yes to life! Be daring. Dance to your heart’s desire. Unfurl your wings and fly! Cast aside conventions and restrictions. Tune in to the rhythm of life. Laugh. Explore. Go beyond your predictable behavior. Sometimes life is messy and chaotic, and that’s okay. Leave the dishes; run outside in the sprinkles.

You are on the planet to be FREE. You don’t always need to meet the expectations of others. You’re here to explore, expand and step into your extraordinary self. Choose life on your terms. Clear out mental and emotional clutter. Move beyond those situations you have outgrown. Don’t accept the rules that you have placed on yourself or that others have placed on you. This is your time. Don’t delay listening to the rhythm of your heart and following your dreams.

Turn on the music and move. Tribal dance isn’t about looking good. It’s about feeling the beat inside your heart and expressing this with your body and your emotions. If you want to break free, then start first by expressing yourself, wild and free, and the circumstances of your life will transform.

9 ~ Medicine Woman/Medicine Man

Profound inner and outer healing is occurring. You’re a natural healer. You’re on the mend, and/or a situation is being resolved. Have faith that it’s happening. You are a sacred healer; you are a medicine woman/medicine man of the soul.

Every indigenous culture has a tradition of healers. Depending on the culture, they’re called medicine men, medicine women, shamans, tohungas, kahunas, sangomas, or curanderos, among others. In every tradition they’re the individuals who are able to step between worlds to gain information, wisdom, and healing energies from their spirit allies. When this card chooses you, you’re at the advent of healing emotional, physical, and metal wounds. Additionally, a powerful healing force is activating within you.

Nature is one of our greatest healers, so spend time with the trees, soak up the rays of the sun, and dance in the rain. Everything in nature has the intrinsic ability to restore itself. You’re a part of the natural world, so you have this innate ability. Often healing needs to occur on the inner planes before it can manifest on the outside. To assist this process, focus on what’s great and let go of what isn’t working. Hold a vision of the solution that you desire, be patient, and trust that recovery is occurring in its own time and way.

10 ~ Elder

Confidence. Entering your power. Standing strong. You are a leader. Stepping into the light. Let your truth be heard and felt by others. Make a stand in life. You carry deep inner wisdom. You are a teacher and a leader in the deepest sense of the words. You are a beacon for others.

In native cultures, the elders, tribal chiefs, and clan leaders are looked to for advice and leadership. When this card chooses you, it’s time to step into your leadership role. An elder walks the path, stomps the grass down and throws the boulders out of the way so that the path is easier for others. Sometimes you might find yourself alone or tired, but know that what you’re doing is making a difference in the lives of many. The greatest leaders are those who know how to serve, supporting others to reach their dreams. Even if you’ve been in the background in the past, right now it’s your turn to step forward and become the light for others.

Being an elder or tribal leader means speaking your truth, even if it’s hard or evening your afraid. If there’s anyone you need to stand up to, this is the time. Being a leader means supporting others, so if there’s anyone you need to support or make amends with, this is the time.

11 ~ Nature Spirits

Delight. Peaks of carefree abandon. Living wildly, magically, and free. Be open to the wonders of the universe flooding into your life. Innocence and delight are abounding. Happiness is on its way!

Almost every indigenous culture recounts stories of fairies, (often called “little people”) and nature spirits. Although some of the fairies act in protection of their wild lands and should be treated with care and respect, most often they bring blessings and delight to all in their realm. If this Nature Spirits card chooses you, then welcome to a wellspring of joy and magic. Beneath the surface, mystical interventions are occurring in your life. Relax. All is well.

Even taking a few moments of stillness in the natural world can help you attune to the world of the little people and nature spirits. If you see a small flash of light or a movement of a leaf on a windless day, these are often signs that the wee folk are near.

12 ~ Shaman ~Ancient Healing Wisdom~

All illnesses, whether physical, emotional, or psychological, stem from an illness of Spirit. It may be due to soul loss, psychic intrusions, ancestral karma, or any other spiritual causes that could be contributing to the manifest condition for which you seek help. Whatever the methodologies or remedies you pursue, whether allopathic, alternative, or a combination, let the healing of your Spirit be your priority. Know that the deepest spiritual wound is the illusion of being separate from Source, God, Great Spirit, or whatever name you give the Creator. It is the trick of the mind that creates that sense of separation. This is a time for deep healing, starting with your relationship with Spirit. Call upon your spirit guides and ancestors to help you with any emotional, me ya, or physical healing that you need. Call upon the Creator to assist you in mending any rift in your relationship with Spirit. Choose thoughts that support wholeness and well-being. Allow any darker thoughts or shadows to appear as well, but simply observe then as they arise in consciousness, then dissolve. See yourself as healed, whole, complete, and it shall be.

13 ~ Desert ~Vision Quest~

A “vision quest” is a process whereby you spend a few days in the wilderness alone. Typically, you carry only water and some sacred items with you, and you spend most of the time praying or meditating. Many who have completed a vision quest assert that it is a powerful and even life-changing experience, and report vivid and profound revaluations. It is said that “the desert does not lie,” so partaking in this can help you discover the truth about your purpose, or at least give you some clues. It is time for you to go on a Vision quest. Designate a place in nature in which to dwell, whether for a couple of hours or a few days. Spend the majority of your time while there meditating and praying. It is best to be in a location where you can truly find solitude, even if it is in a quiet corner of a park for the afternoon. This is one of the more powerful cards. When it comes to you, whatever other messages you may have received are amplified threefold.

14 ~ Autumn Equinox ~Release~

Now is the time to let anything in your life fall always that is no longer useful or needed for the emerging expression of who you are. Allow yourself to gradually shed what has become burdensome and no longer congruent with your soul’s purpose. Conserve your energy by allowing yourself more rest while at the same time making preparations for the winter season. Look especially at your material possessions and be brutally honest with yourself as you discern which of these can be given away or somehow released. Consider shedding relationships that have served their purpose and are no longer viable, as well as work or a job that has become devoid of interest and passion. With release comes a sense of being much lighter.l, just like the trees that openly bear their nakedness once their leaves have departed and give room for whatever new Life is ready to birth following a period of quiet and gestation. So let go of whatever has outlived its purposefulness and trust that something else will take its place.

15 ~ Ocean ~Ebb and Flow~

An important aspect in the art of living is to move with the ebb and flow of your emotions., joining their fluidity but not being captured by it. It is also not necessary to become obsessed with any particular fluctuation in mood or feeling. They are simply emotions, often activated in ways that are completely beyond your understanding. When you neither minimize nor exaggerate the intensity and importance of your emotions, you then have a great sense of when and how to express them. You have been fighting the ebb and flow of your own feelings— denying your hurt, anger, or sorrow— by either attaching yourself to one or the other and nurturing it as if it were a nursing child, or else smoothing your feelings over with what is going on beneath the surface of your expression. When you attempt to constrict yourself from experiencing your emotions, it is much like trying to stem the tides that grow even more forceful with every attempt humans make to control them. Allow yourself to swim with these variations rather then resisting them.
